"Moon Ceremonial Dance"
The painting represents a ceremonial dance performed in respects to the lifegivers. In our traditions the life givers are female beings, the Mother Earth, and the Grandmother Moon. It has been passed on through many generations to honor and respect all life givers who provide us with everything we need to respect all life givers who provide us with everything we need to sustain life and nourish the purity of creation. This is the heart beat of the Mother Earth and the heart of our families.
The poster was launched on Wednesday February 21, 2006, during the Cultural Evening held at the Museum of Civilization, Gatineau, QC
The Cultural Evening was a social evening organized by the National Aboriginal Circle Against Family.
The poster is available for $10.00 each and shipping & handling, with proceeds returned to our initiatives to raise awareness and bring atention to family violence and violence against Aboriginal women.
